Lotuspond

Lotuspond is one of the very beautiful parks in Hyderabad that i like the most. Though not a very big park, it is a good sized park. Its located in banjara hills and it seems that main purpose of this part is for walking. The whole park was around a big pond and (right you have guessed it!) there are lotus flowers growing in that. The park also doubles as a migratory spot for some different kinds of birds as well. On the whole the park is being maintained in a kind of ok manner. The park it self is very quite to relax in and scenic also. There are lot of fish in the pond which you can feed with bread or something which they will eat. The water is reasonably clear so that we can see all the fish which will gather down once we start throwing down the food for them. So finally i got Ramesh's camera again and went down for clicking some pics. Some of them are really good ones. I have added a couple of them in this blog so that once looking at them you might also want to give a visit to the park. I will try to attach a google map to this blog for finding your way to the park. May be as this park was not as famous as it should be, it is still looking good and calm! Ok now, lets head for the snaps that i took. One thing is the below snaps cover only a quarter part of the park!

I named this part of the park as "The bamboo path".That's part of the path around the park. The path actually covers the entire park, so if you can just walk the entire path you covered the park. There are also nice huts which were built with logs of wood and grass straw to sit and relax while walking along the path!.

The name of this image 'The cobble way'. (I am getting good at naming my photo's it seems! good work nandu! pat pat).

This photo name is 'The Shady green'. As you can see the trees are full of flowers which smell real good. Though the entire place does not smell with them, but a feast for the eyes.
That's all for the park views, let us checkout a couple of lotus, lotus leaves, birds, dragon fly's, grass, and butter fly's which i found in the park.

First lets start with lotus flowers!!.

This is 'New n Old', what!! why??. Here is the explanation. The first one is a budding flower and the next one done with its life! like TG, but sill looking beautiful. Now you might be wondering what TG is. That's a long long story and i believe the very mention of this will make a couple of people smile including TG.

This is 'The Lotus'. This one looks real good, look at the color combination that this flower is having. Nature's great!. Yeah i do know that you all know about that. :)

This one 'The untouchable?', i like this photo, but i did some tinkering with the color to bring out that green color.

This one 'The Droplet'. :D. What are the different uses of lotus leaf? hmmm let me think, we can use this as a  glass by folding it like a cone, we can enjoy including the last drop of water. Any more?.. i don't think so, but this bird found a different use for itself!

This is 'The Watcher', Standing on it! waiting for fish to come out with out being visible to the fish below.

This one 'Black beauty', Seriously this one is looking towards me giving a pose to me :). I later found that even its legs are visible.

This one 'The Jungle Hen', This one is about to run away! Came to know that this is a jungle hen.

This 'The Grass' no let's name this 'The Pink Grass', just swaying along with the wind, they do look real good and serene.

This is 'The Bamboo'. Nothing special, just thought that this looked good and took a snap of it. You can find this on 'The Bamboo Path', let me know if you were able to spot it.

This 'The Green sway'. Just another beautiful snap for my desktop.

Thia 'Neem Umbrella'. The half part which i took photo of is looking like a umbrella made of neem leaves.
Now let us go after a 'couple' of butterflies.

This one 'The Butterfly', I was not able to think of another good and beautiful name for this. And the next one is......

This is 'The Couple'. Initially i was trying to capture the right butter fly from some where else, i followed it from quite some distance determined to capture the snap, but my effort of following it paid off when these two joined on a flower like this.
Now let us look at a couple of dragon flies.

This is 'The Tower Fly'. Funny isn't it? This one is standing on a very thin grass leaf. Very color full isn't it?

This is 'The Dragon Fly - Relaxing', this is just a small branch of a long gone plant. I was not able to understand what that dragon fly found so interesting or tasty! May be that was just relaxing by letting its wings down :)

This is 'The Dragon Fly - Relaxing - 2', yes this might be the brother of the previous one, as you can see subtle similarities between these two.

This is 'The Ant Quill', If you observe the image you can find an ant in the grass quill, honestly i do not know what is the name of this thing so i gave it the name as Grass Quill :D. This also looks good as a desktop wallpaper.
This concludes the lotus pond clicks blog. There is something that i came to know about. Like we should check for the image size, i mean the resolution before embarking on taking the pictures. The thing is, some one changed the quality of the camera's photo resolution and i ended up taking the snaps at a low level of resolution. Good lesson learnt, never repeat it again. If you observe the bird on the lotus leaf is not of a very good quality as it was a long shot.
